The Switch & The Spur, a night of queer kink and BDSM

An all-gender BDSM play party

This event is in the planning stage, details may change. Email hottimeshfx@gmail.com to get involved!

Date: February 22, 2013

Time: 8-2AM

Doors Close: 12 sharp!

Location: Society of Bastet, 2683 Fern Lane. This event is not associated with Society of Bastet; no membership necessary! View a description of the space, and photos of the interior from the Society of Bastet website.

Cost: $15 ATD/$5 for volunteers (email us, contact an organizer, or come to the orientation!). Sliding scale available.

Volunteer orientation will be at 5:30 PM on Sunday the 17th, at the Society of Bastet.

Have your valid government ID ready. We encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle–there are bathrooms for refills. 19+, ID required.

Do not bring any valuables! The space does not feature lockers, but does have a limited number of cubbyholes in the common area.

How to get tickets: At the door. Please contact us in advance to volunteer!

Demographic: Queer-, Trans- and LGB-centric, all genders welcome. We welcome both experienced players and the curious, and ask that play be kept in the SSC range.

Unfortunately, the space is not wheelchair accessible. The club is located at the top of a long flight of stairs. We are working on getting the exact dimensions of the space.

Dress code: Genitals must be covered at all times, but other than that, get creative! Costumes and fetish wear are all encouraged. We welcome leatherfolk, furries, gender-benders, puppies, babies, sports gear enthusiasts, denim, vinyl, rubber, uniforms…

Activities: TBD–watch this space!

Sexy reading materials

Wax demo–Confirmed!

Support: The Hot Times Collective will have Trauma Team (T-Team) members available to all attendees throughout the night of the bathhouse. What this means, is there will be people who will be available to listen to people who are triggered or just need someone to talk to if they are not in a great headspace. What we can offer is active listening, resources and information on a variety of community organizations that also offer support. What we are not trained to offer is therapeutic advice or possible solutions to problems that might arise (though if it is an immediate situation in which guidelines are being disrespected T-team and / or organizing members will address it). We want to be transparent about what we can and can’t offer in the way of support for those who are interested in coming to the bathhouse, and trust you to make a decision about whether that is enough support or not. Please talk to T-team and organizing members if you have thoughts or suggestions on creating a safer space.

19+, ID required. Do not bring any valuables!

Please visit our Rules page–you will be read these rules again at the door to the event before entry.
